1st Workshop: Power Skiving
The entry of power skiving into the production halls of gear manufacturers is unstoppable. This is supported by its great geometrical flexibility in the production of internal and external gears, the kinematic possibilities for correcting and modifying the profile and flank line, and also its high productivity.
Nevertheless, major tasks still remain: for example, reducing the comparatively high tool costs. Or increasing the reliability in the design of processes – sometimes a technology "works" and the tool lasts a long time, while other times vibrations occur and both tool life and workpiece quality are unsatisfactory. And which screw do I need to turn to get the process under control?
This year, we would like to expand our offering on power skiving and divide it into two parts: In addition to our established technical seminar, we are also offering a workshop in cooperation with PWS Präzisionswerkzeuge GmbH. In this workshop, we want to provide you with not only theoretical but, above all, practice-oriented knowledge. For this purpose, the workshop will be conducted in the laboratory with small working groups, as well as live demonstrations and explanations.
